Our Programs

Field Studies

At Howling Gibbon, our courses are designed for both younger learners (primary / elementary) and older students (secondary / high school), so we can tailor each programme to match the age, curiosity, and learning style of every group.

Thanks to our incredible natural surroundings — rivers, mountains, forests, and limestone-cave systems — students enjoy a vibrant, living classroom. It’s the kind of place where hands-on learning, real discovery, and genuine wonder go hand in hand

Primary Level (approx. ages 7–11 / Elementary)

Our primary-level field studies and environmental-education courses are created with younger learners in mind: we focus on engagement, wonder, and gentle exploration. Activities may include discovering local ecology, exploring forest and river habitats, experiential lessons about wildlife and ecosystems, and basic skills for observing and understanding nature — all delivered in a fun, nurturing and age-appropriate way.

Secondary Level (middle & high school, approx. ages 11–18)

For older students, we offer more advanced field studies and environmental-education courses — with opportunities for deeper learning. Programmes can include biology, geography, environmental studies, and eco-tourism themes; field excursions into forests, river systems and caves; and practical, real-world learning (for example, field-work skills, nature observation, ecological studies, and understanding human–environment interactions).

But we don’t stop at “just learning.” Because we’re also an adventure- and community-oriented centre, many programmes combine field studies with outdoor-adventure and service-learning elements — giving students chances to build resilience, confidence, teamwork and empathy, while connecting academically with the natural world.

Flexible, Custom Programmes

We know no two groups are the same — so whether you want a pure field-study programme, a mix of adventure and nature learning, or a balanced bundle of environment, ecology, and teamwork, we’ll work with you to build a custom course that meets your educational goals. Our programmes are fully adaptable, whether you come for a short visit, a multi-day residential experience, or something in between.
